Company Profile Assets

The Company Profile Assets tab shows public files that were intentionally published to the company profile. It is not the same thing as the company’s full Media Assets library.

A company can own many media files for products, packages, manuals, screenshots, uploads, and internal organization. The public Company Assets tab shows only assets with a public company-profile placement.

Why the tab can show fewer assets than Media Assets

The Media Assets library is a management workspace. It can include every file owned by the company and files used by products.

The public Company Assets tab is a curated public profile section. It excludes ordinary product images and product documents unless someone explicitly publishes that asset to the company profile.

For example, a company media library can show dozens of files while the public Company Assets tab shows one file. That means only one asset is currently published as a public company-profile asset.

Asset counter

The Assets counter on the Company Profile uses the same rule as this tab:

  • the asset must be assigned to the company profile;
  • the placement must be public;
  • the source media asset must be active;
  • hero-background-only media is excluded from the ordinary Assets tab count.

This keeps the counter aligned with what visitors can actually see.

Filters

Use the filters above the asset grid to narrow the public profile assets:

  • Search looks inside the public profile asset title, description, public key, and tags.
  • Kind separates images, documents, and videos.
  • Type uses the same media asset type list as the Media Assets library. Each kind has its own meaningful type set.
  • Sort can order by update date, upload date, name, or type.

Filters do not search the whole media library. They narrow only assets already published to the Company Profile Assets tab.

Add an asset to this tab

  1. Open the company workspace.
  2. Go to Media Assets.
  3. Open the asset edit page.
  4. In Company profile Assets tab, turn on Show on company profile.
  5. Choose the profile placement type.
  6. Save the media asset.
  7. Return to the public Company Assets tab and use Search, Kind, Type, or Sort if needed.

The same media asset can be used by products and by the company profile at the same time.

Public content asset is different

Public content asset and Public asset key are for keyed authored content such as Help articles and landing pages. They do not publish the file to the Company Assets tab.

To show a document, certificate, brochure, video, or image on the Company Assets tab, use Show on company profile on the asset edit page.
